How do we adapt sustainable lifestyles to diverse settings and cultures around the world?
There are many versions of a “sustainable lifestyle” that must be designed and implemented by those who live their own realities in the places they call home. Through the One Planet Network’s Sustainable Lifestyles and Education Programme, 24 on-the-ground projects in the Global South have investigated and tested pathways to sustainable living. The lessons learned and the networks created through these projects serve as valuable assets in the scaling up, wide, and deep of current and future endeavours.
OneEarth Living explored the lessons from these projects. We contributed to the briefings that summarize the key discoveries and guide future projects, policymakers and funders.
The 24 projects support local teams in identifying and testing context-based solutions and local alternatives in a variety of lifestyle domains. The project portfolio covers diverse themes including Community, Education, Energy, Food & Farming, Low Carbon, Plastic, Sustainable Business Models, Technology, Waste, Water, Workplace and Youth.
